Regular Maintenance is a Must
If you want your car to last, take it for all the scheduled services on time and always use a certified expert. Regular oil
and filter changes help make sure your car has what it needs to run without problems. Clean, uncontaminated air, fuel, and
oil are necessary to help prevent wear and tear and keep your car running strong for years to come.
Failing to service your car can lead to serious problems in the future. Not changing your oil can lead to major bearing,
ring, cam, or valve problems before you even hit 100,000 miles. And your filters are important, too! We recommend you replace
your oil filter every 3,000 miles, or with every oil change. The filter's job is to remove solid contaminants such as dirt,
carbon, and metal particles from the oil before they can damage bearing, journal, and cyclinder wall surfaces in the engine. A
dirty air filter can hurt an engines gas mileage, and in some cases cause the spark plugs to fail.
Remember to check other vital fluids on a regular basis as well. Transmission, differential, brake and power-steering fluid,
oil, and antifreeze are all vital to your cars long term health. Regular transmission and differential fluid changes are often
overlooked, but this service is important. If you really want keep your car in good shape, we suggest getting these fluids
changed every 60,000 miles. Fresh, clean transmission fluid assures that your car's drivetrain stays cool and uncontaminated.
Some cars have two separate differentials. If this is the case for your car make sure that both sets of differential oil get
changed.
If you do experience an issue with your car, remember - it's always better to get it checked out sooner rather than later!
Three warning signs you should never dismiss are the engine oil light, the engine temperature gauge, and the brake light. Get
in the habit of glancing at your engine's temperature gauge and warning lights. If the lights come on, pull over as soon as
it's safe to do so and shut off the engine. A small problem could become even worse if you ignore it, and something happens on
the road. Not to mention the time and money it'll cost to get a tow!
